BACKGROUND
I am a huge horror fan. I was watching a classic slasher film on TV one night and there was an advert for a sanitary product during the ad break. From then on, I have always thought, wouldn't it be powerful to create an advert for women who suffer with heavy/painful periods with the horror genre.
INSIGHT
'That time of the month', a common phrase used to refer to a woman's monthly
cycle. Use this to tie in with Halloween.
IDEA
Halloween is one day of the year. Endometriosis is every single day.
RESULTS
We created a social-first campaign for the Menstrual Health Project that used the insides of a pumpkin as a metaphor for the pain endometriosis causes so many women, not just one day of the month but every single day. The film achieved lots of press, ad of the day from Campaign Magazine, Shots magazine and David Reviews 5/5 stars.
